Viking Bank Summer Online Savings Rate at 3.00%APY

Savings rate are down but there’s one online banking that features a special summer saver rate at 3.00%APY.

One of Viking Bank’s featured specials is the Summer Saver that offers a great rate of 3.00%APY and requires only a minimum deposit of $100. To obtain the 3.00%APY, however, you must have a maintaining balance of $1,000. Funds must be new also and not just funds coming from other deposits in the bank. Offer applies to consumer customers only with active consumer checking account.

FNCB online savings rate at 2.35%APY

Update: FNCB online savings rate fell by 0.10%APY.  Previous rate was 2.35%APY and as of 5/4/09 is 2.25%APY.

FNCB or First National Community Bank offers a high yield savings account rate of 2.35%APY. This offer is exclusive online with no service fees and no minimum balance requirement.

Here are the account features:

  • Account is paid a premium interest rate.
  • Account earns interest with an account balance of $.01 and over.
  • Receive a monthly Electronic (E) Statement or access your statement through FNCB Online.
  • Unlimited deposits including online transfers into the account.
  • Excess Transaction Fee*:
    If you exceed six preauthorized withdrawals during the month, you will be charged $10.00 for each excess transaction
  • Online External Funds Transfer Fees: For standard Service (3 days), inbound is free while outbound is $10.00 (3 per month).  A fee of $20 per transfer for Premium Service (next day) both inbound and outbound.
