Golden Plains Credit Union Rewards Checking at 6.01%APY

Golden Plains Credit Union offers one of the highest checking account rate in the state of Kansas. The offer rate of 6.01%APY is accurate as of April 1, 2009, but subject to change. Golden Plains Credit Union has 10 locations throughout Western Kansas and, as a credit union, savings deposits are insured up to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund.

To obtain the 6.01%APY on balances of $0 to $25,000, a customer must meet the 3 requirements:

1. Make 10 GPCU Visa Check card transactions;
2. Receive GPCU e-statements; and
3. Log in to Golden Plains online.

In addition, balances of over $25,000 earn 0.51%APY. If you fail to meet the 3 requirements, your account will only earn a standard rate of 0.21%APY.
