There are so many high yield savings account nowadays and the majority are from online banking companies.It is important to learn as much about a bank as possible before opening any accounts. Analyze the bank’s history and look for patterns or any remarkable changes that may have previously occurred. Try to find out how long the institution has been around and get any statistics you can gather regarding corporate strength and financial growth.

Not many people have probably heard of EverBank. This is likely because they are relatively a small bank that does its business in Jacksonville, Florida. The company’s current incarnation was put together in 1994 when an investor group acquired the Alliance Mortgage Company, and became a significant mortgage originator and service provider. In January of 2000, EverBank was founded as a national direct-to-consumer bank.

Golf Savings Bank VIP Money Market Account at 2.40%APY

Golf Savings Bank is offering a VIP Money Market Account at a very competitive rate of 2.40%APY. Only $2,500 minimum is required to open, however you will be charged an account maintenance fee of $15 if your balance falls below the minimum. Additionally, the VIP money market account requires a separate loan or deposit relationship of $10,000 or more to qualify. If the separate relationship is not maintained at or above the required $10,000, your account will be moved to a Champion MMA.

You are limited to only 6 withdrawals in a month with three which you can make by check. There is also a $10 withdrawal fee charged for each item if you go beyond the limit.

The APY is effective as of July 28,2009 and is subject to change without prior notice.

First Chatham Bank E-Business Money Market 2.50%APY

An E-Business Money Market Account that only requires $1,000 minimum opening deposit is being offered by First Chatham Bank at 2.50%APY. The APY applies to new or existing business checking account and acceptance of e-statements. Interest is compounded daily and interest earnings paid on all balances for accounts that enroll and accept electronic account statements.

There is a $10 monthly maintenance fee however you can avoid paying this fee by maintaining a  minimum daily balance of at least $1,000 or an average daily balance of $2,500. You will also be provided 3 free checks per month with $10 fee for each additional check.

Northpointe Bank is introducing one of its many products, a liquid high yield money market account. The high yield money market rate is accurate as of August 7, 2009 but may change any time.

Interested depositors will earn 2.00%APY on balances over $25,000 with no monthly fees. It also has an online savings benefits and features such as free electronic statements, free ATM Card, free online banking, 24/7 access, and FDIC insurance coverage.

In return, the bank will donate a case of water to the local American Red Cross for every new liquid account opened.
